Our services will be online only Sundays March 22 and March 29.

“[Jesus said to his followers]: Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32, ESV). “[Then Jesus said to Pilate] “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above.” (John 19:11, ESV).

Ascension’s response to the novel coronavirus’ spread is based on these two words from Jesus. On the one hand, we as Christ’s flock have nothing to fear, for the Kingdom of Heaven is already ours through his death and resurrection received by faith. On the other hand, we obey the government as God’s servant in the world, for “whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.” (Romans 13:2, ESV).

Our pastor is in quarantine after returning from Puerto Rico where he led a regular mission partners’ meeting. The government of Quebec has also asked us to restrict public gatherings to slow or stop the virus’ spread.

Out of love for our neighbour, we are therefore holding “virtual” (online) services Sunday, March 22 and March 29. If you would like to participate in those services, please contact pastor and he will provide the information needed to join.

Services will also be made available online in the coming days.
