COVID-19

Ascension will be having simple, on site worship with the Lord’s Supper for members on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at 11 AM. These services will also be offered online via Zoom by request. Other Sundays services will be by Zoom only by request. If you would like to participate, send a note using the form below.

“[Jesus said to his followers]: Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32, ESV). “[Then Jesus said to Pilate] “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above.” (John 19:11, ESV).

Ascension’s response to the novel coronavirus’ spread is based on these two words from Jesus. On the one hand, we as Christ’s flock have nothing to fear, for the Kingdom of Heaven is already ours through his death and resurrection received by faith. On the other hand, we obey the government as God’s servant in the world, for “whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.” (Romans 13:2, ESV).

Out of love for our neighbour, we are therefore holding “virtual” (online) services for the time being. If you would like to participate in those services, please contact pastor and he will provide the information needed to join.

Services and service folders are available online.
